How does this medication work?

Ivermectin (Topical), Rosiver/Sklice/Soolantra is a semi-synthetic derivative isolated from the fermentation of Streptoyces Avermitilis.  It binds to the chloride ion channels cause an increase permeability of chloride ions resulting in hyperpolarization of the nerve and death in the case of a parasite.  The exact mechanism of action in how it works against rosacea is not known.

How should I take this medication?

Head Lice
Topical: Apply lotion liberally to the scalp and make sure to completely cover the dry scalp and hair; for single use only.

Rosacea
Topical: Apply cream to the affected areas (i.e. forehead, chin, nose, cheek) once daily.

How to Use Ivermectin (Topical), Rosiver/Sklice/Soolantra: Only apply the lotion (hair lice) to a dry scalp; completely cover the scalp and hair.  Leave the lotion on the scalp and in the hair for 10 minutes.  Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water.  Avoid contact with the eyes.  Use a fine-tooth comb to remove treated lice and nits.   Only apply the cream (rosacea) externally to the skin and never to the eyes, mouth, and/or mucous membranes.  Apply a pea-sized amount of cream to each affected area and wash your hands with soap immediately after applying.
